    Frontgate servers are capable of processing a message within several seconds. Since email delivery does not typically occur in real-time, no latency is noticeable to the users.

    Yes. Whitelisting is done automatically inside of your Spam Quarantine. Whenever you 'release' a message from inside the Quarantine the message is automatically whitelisted and the senders address will not be blocked again.

    No. It would be a security violation for organizations to allow an outside firm access to their internal network structure. Our serevice was designed so that it requires no firewall access to your network.
  6. questionDoes someone at Frontgate read my email?
    No. All email processing is done through automated filters. In the event an email is identified as spam, it will be directed to your Spam Quarantine for review. Because the entire process is automated, no Frontgate employee ever reads your email.
  7. questionHow can I secure our email server?
    Once you switch your MX records over to Frontgate you can setup a firewall rule to only allow your network to accept incoming traffic on port 25 from our servers. Doing so will greatly increase your network security, since mail servers are often the first place hackers will try to attack.
  8. questionHow long does it take to activate my account?
    In most cases, your account can be active the same day you request service provided that you have all the necessary information on hand. This information includes DNS management information, a current user list, and other mail server specifications.
  9. questionHow long is email kept in the Spam Quarantine?
    Frontgate keeps email messages that have been directed to the Spam Quarantine for 14 days following the receipt of the message. After 14 days the message will be automatically deleted.
